The “Guardians of Democracy” international conference

Civil Collage Foundation organized the “Guardians of Democracy” international conference at the end of September 2024 within the framework of the Local Democracy Hub.

The aim of the conference was to help the process by learning about various international community organizing projects, gaining a regional perspective and many friendly conversations, which helps civil society organizations and citizens to actively participate in local decision-making, while local government actors treat them as partners, recognizing the opportunities in cooperation and the power in joint work.

We heard very exciting and professional presentations from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia and of course from Hungarian speakers about advocacy and community organizing campaigns and projects. We learned from each other and inspired each other.

We are sure that cross-border cooperation will continue, because we all believe in the guardians of democracy! In those civil citizens who know that active participation in common affairs not only shapes but also strengthens the community.
